Harvest Hosts Review: Turn 2 Brewing, Sebring, FL
Traveling in Florida in the winter is prime season. It’s challenging and competitive to get reservations at Florida State Parks, our preferred camping spots (see our post on Strategic Reservations for ideas).
During this year’s trip, we found ourselves a single night without a reservation, between stays at Lake Kissimmee State Park in Lake Wales, and Highlands Hammock State Park in Sebring, so we used our Harvest Hosts membership to find a place to stay.
We were approved for a stay at Turn 2 Brewing in Sebring, right off US 27 and just 10 minutes from Highlands Hammock.
Our host, Herb, directed us to the back of the brewery, adjacent to a refrigerated trailer. He warned us about the generator running the trailer, but it wasn’t that loud – and much quieter than some road noise we’ve experienced at other Harvest Hosts stops.
There’s also a nice trail accessible from Turn 2 if you need to walk your dog.
Oh the beer! The beer was excellent – we sampled the “Honey I Shrunk the Wheat,” the “Hammer Down Brown,” and the “Choco-Latte’ Stout.” All were excellent, and we took home a crowler of the honey wheat for later. Even if you don’t stay over, we’d recommend a stop at Turn 2!
