Harvest Hosts Review: Sam Mazza’s Farm Market, Colchester, Vermont
Our stay at Sam Mazza’s Farm Market was everything you want in a Harvest Hosts stay.
U-Pick blueberries. Check.
Farm market and bakery. Check.
Live music. Check.
Soft serve ice cream. Check.
Cute goats. Check.
Quiet evening next to apple trees. Check.
Fresh coffee in the morning. Check!
When we checked in, we were given a map and directed to park adjacent to a stand of apple trees. There were two other campers already parked, but there was plenty of room for all of us.
After setting up, we picked blueberries and raspberries. The bushes were heavy with fruit, so it took us less than half an hour to pick two pounds of blueberries and a generous pint of raspberries.
Later, we walked to their little pavilion where they were hosting a Music Night with a band and food trucks. We bought some soft serve ice cream at the farm market and sat at a bench and listened to the music, then made friends with the resident goats.
The farm market also sells, fresh produce, baked goods, Vermont maple syrup and a variety of gift items. The market opens at 7 a.m. and has hot, fresh coffee for sale.
We couldn’t ask for anything more from our visit to Sam Mazza’s. If you can, you should visit, too!
